Garlic Butter Baked Scallops π
Ingredients:
- 1 lb (450g) sea scallops (rinsed and patted dry)
- 4 tablespoons unsalted butter (melted)
- 4 cloves garlic (minced)
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice (freshly squeezed)
- 1/4 cup breadcrumbs (Panko works best for crunch)
- 2 tablespoons grated Parmesan cheese
- Salt and black pepper (to taste)
- 1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley (optional, for garnish)
- Lemon wedges (for serving)
Instructions:
- Preheat oven to 400Β°F (200Β°C). Lightly grease a baking dish or use individual ramekins.
- Prepare the garlic butter:
In a small bowl, mix the melted butter, minced garlic, and lemon juice. - Arrange scallops:
Place scallops in a single layer in the baking dish. Season lightly with salt and pepper. - Pour butter mixture:
Spoon the garlic butter mixture evenly over the scallops. - Top with breadcrumbs and cheese:
In a separate bowl, mix breadcrumbs and Parmesan cheese. Sprinkle over the scallops. - Bake:
Bake for 12β15 minutes, or until scallops are opaque and topping is golden brown. For extra browning, broil for 1β2 minutes at the end. - Garnish and serve:
